During the summer term 2020, Active Notts, Active Derbyshire and the School Games Organiser network in both counties came together to create and publish a weekly programme of activities to help support schools to assist parents and carers to maintain an active routine for children and young people whilst at home or when socially distancing in essential care.

Children and young people should engage in moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity for an average of at least 60 minutes per day across the week and this weekly resource gave simple ideas on how to be physically active with a different sport theme for 30 minutes each day.

Each week, for 11 weeks from April to July, a sport-based challenge was set, with participating pupils having the opportunity to earn points for their school. At the end of each week the primary or secondary school with the most entries per children on roll received a £100 equipment voucher to help support their PE and PA offer.

Following the end of the challenges the winning school in each school sport partnership area also received a £200 voucher.

County Supplies has been proud to support the School Games initiative and work with Active Notts and Active Derbyshire in supplying the winning vouchers.

Nine Notts' and thirteen Derbyshire schools have each won County Supplies equipment vouchers ranging from £100 to £1,100.

Congratulations  to all the winning schools!
